I see loads of people advertising them, and have seen them around on HL, but what exactly are they for?

Player Point Animals: Horses/dogs that people put a shitton of unruns on and then sell. Essentially you're buying player points. They're also nice if you need some foundation animals since someone already went and put a shitton of unruns on a (usually) store animal, saving you the hassle.
I'll probably offer PP Unis on monday. :]

Why do people want to buy animals just to bump up their PP? Why not just gradually build them up? Why waste animals and flood shows just to get them?

Those are good questions Mur...when it comes down it, the only reason for buying PP horses to make yourself look better and more experienced lol. I don;t sell PP horses and never will because the shows are often flooded enough as is.
